Jonathan Papelbon tossed a scoreless ninth inning to collect his 23rd save of the season on Saturday against the Braves.
Papelbon continued his ninth inning dominance on Saturday, logging his 23rd save in 25 tries as the Phillies even the series out at one game a piece. He is now sitting on a 1.17 ERA and 0.83 WHIP through 38.1 innings while owning a respectable 33:9 K:BB rate. However, his name has been linked in trade talks with the Dodgers of late, and if he was to be on the move to the west coast, his role as a closer could be in question with Kenley Jansen manning the ninth inning for the Dodgers.
