Jason Heyward went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a pair of runs scored against the Phillies on Friday.
While this game extended Heyward's hit streak to eight and his multi-hit game streak to four, this was his first home run since June 15, a span of 28 games. The under-achieving outfielder started to come out of his shell towards the end of the first half, but the lack of power has been a little troubling for fantasy owners. If he can start hitting for more power in the second half then perhaps he salvages some of what has been yet another lost season, but you'll have to go in with cautious optimism. Between the injury history and the years of disappointing play, you just can't assume that he's suddenly going to break out finally.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Anthony Gose is not in the Tigers starting lineup on Saturday.
With the Indians throwing righty Trevor Bauer, it's a bit curious as to why Gose is not in the lineup. He plays steadily against right-handed pitching and is slashing .333/.348/.511 this season, so perhaps there's an unreported injury lurking here. Addition updates are likely to come. Rajai Davis is playing center field and leading off. Analysis: Howard Bender
