Craig Kimbrel earned his MLB-leading 30th save with a perfect ninth inning against the Phillies on Friday. He struck out two.
He's the No. 1 closer in the game, folks, and that hasn't changed in now in three and a half seasons. Like any other ninth inning specialist out there, he'll have his bumps in the road, but he's now gone eight-straight appearances without allowing a run and has a 1.86 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP and a ridiculous 64 strikeouts over 38.2 innings this season. Is there anything else that needs to be said? Probably not.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Wilson Ramos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Nationals 2-1 win over the Cubs on Monday.
Ramos hit his third home run of the season on Monday to go with a .285 average, 13 runs and 21 RBI. Health has been Ramos’s biggest hindrance so far in his career as he has appeared in more than 100 games just once since he entered the league in 2010 but that has not stopped the production as he has hit 10+ home runs three times since 2011 and boasts a per 162 average of 22 home runs and 87 RBI which would make him one of the top offensive catchers in baseball. Ramos owners should keep their fingers crossed that this is the year he plays a full season as they will likely end up with one of the top catchers in fantasy. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
