Michael Pineda continues to make progress in his recovery from shoulder inflammation. He has been throwing bullpen sessions in Tampa and the Yankees have dates mapped out for his recovery.
The tentative return time is mid-August still but Pineda still has a long way to go from here. His stamina and arm strength need to build and then it's a matter of his command and velocity. While the progress he's made is getting a nice positive spin on it by the Yankees, fantasy owners should remain skeptical.ANALYST: Howard Bender

In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
