Reds SP Mat Latos' health is fine and he will make his next scheduled start on Monday in Milwaukee.
Latos left his June 11th start with a strained back but was expected to be fine. It appears that the All-star break has given him enough time to rest and he is now healthy. Although he has had just six starts this season, he has been very good, boasting a 2.79 ERA and .80 WHIP. ANALYST: Ben Diamond
Colin Kaepernick has worked with Kurt Warner on his throwing mechanics this offseason.
Specifically, the story notes that Kaepernick is working on "engaging his lower half" to allow for better touch. It's hard to believe Kurt Warner would know more about throwing mechanics than Jim Harbaugh or any other quarterback coach Kap has ever worked with. This appears to be more fluff than anything else, though is reports from camp suggest there's been a real change to approach or delivery of throwing a football, it could be something worth remembering on draft day.
