Padres are getting closer to dealing Huston Street.
The rumor mill has been churning out a number of possible destinations for Street lately, most notably the Giants, Dodgers, Blue Jays and Tigers. He is likely to retain his status as a closer if he goes anywhere but the Dodgers, but you'll have to just wait out the storm for now until there is something more concrete. Joaquin Benoit becomes an immediate add should Street be traded as the Padres will likely thrust him into the closer's role immediately following any deal.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Athletics reassign Luke Carlin, Max Muncy and Andy Parrino to minor league camp.
One of these things is not like the other. Muncy is a 23-year old prospect, while Carlin and Parrino are older journeymen. Muncy, a first baseman, his 21 home runs in 2013 at High-A in 428 plate appearances. But the power hasn't translated to Double-A yet as he hit just seven home runs in 530 plate appearances there last year. Muncy isn't really a prospect you have to know, but he's far more notable than Carlin and Parrino. Analysis: Brett Talley
