Packers coach Mike McCarthy wants Eddie Lacy to be able to stay on the field for all three downs in order to prevent substitutions from slowing down the offense.
Earlier this offseason McCarthy was quoted as saying he wanted to run 75 players per game. For context, "fast" offenses New England and Denver averaged 71.1 and 72.2 plays per game respectively. It seems like the arrival of Chip Kelly and the success of teams like the Pats and the Ponies is influencing the league at large. Look for other teams to adopt the hurry up as well. ANALYST:
Indians optioned P Josh Tomlin to Triple-A Columbus.
Tomlin has some upside if he can repeat his 8.13 K/9 from last season, but home runs will likely always be an issue. Tomlin has allowed 1.41 HR/9 over his big league career, far too high for him to be a consistent fantasy producer. He will almost certainly be in the rotation at some point and could even get the call up before Danny Salazar even though Salazar has far more upside for fantasy. Analysis: Steve Pimental
