Max Scherzer picked up the win for the American League All-Stars as they defeated the National League 5-3 Tuesday night.
Scherzer pitched a scoreless fifth inning and gave up one hit while striking out two. He will start the second half with a 3.35 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 126 1/3 innings pitched.ANALYST: David Kerr
Jake Marisnick was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored on Thursday night against the Royals.
Jake Marisnick had two hits from the bottom of the order which included a double and a run scored in Houston’s 5 -2 win over Kansas City on Thursday night. His double in the second inning with two outs kept the inning alive and Marisnick scored on a single by Jose Altuve before Yordano Ventura left the game after a rain delay in the second inning. Although Marisnick struggled in the second half, he did finish September/October with a .275 average with three home runs and seven stolen bases. Analysis: Greg Jewett
