Dwyane Wade’s new contract with the Miami Heat is expected to start at $15 million. The number of years he will sign for is still up in the air.
So he's going to make a ton of money for a number of years? Wow. No one ever saw that coming. Wade has the ring, he's got the love of Miami and now he'll have the big bucks for a multitude of years which will hopefully keep him on South Beach for the rest of his career or until he opts out for even bigger money? Seems silly, yes, but so goes the world of the NBA.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Sean Marshall (shoulder) has resumed throwing from flat ground.
Marshall was shut down at the beginning of spring training with shoulder soreness, but has resumed throwing. Last June, Marshall underwent season ending shoulder surgery after making just 15 appearances in 2014. The only thing scarier than last season's 7.71 ERA is the fact that he has had some sort of shoulder injury in each of the last three seasons. Leave this guy off your draft board. Nathan Eovaldi has been working on improving his splitter during spring training.
Eovaldi is more of a thrower than a pitcher right now, but the Yankees are hoping he can develop into a mainstay in their rotation. Even though he hasn't had a winning season in his four year career, his velocity is hope for optimism. Eovaldi got knocked around a lot last year, but he doesn't walk many batters, something else the Yankees are excited about. Eovaldi is going late in drafts and there is some solid value to be had if he can take the next step forward. Analysis: Colby Conway
