Jimmy Smith was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct late Saturday night after an alleged incident at suburban Baltimore bar.
Awesome, Jimmy. That's just awesome. It's the perfect way to go into training camp as your teammate, Ray Rice, still awaits a decision on his case for being a drunk, abusive idiot towards women. In fact, this is exactly what the NFL needs -- yet another story about what kind of jackasses players can be off the field. Maybe we can get a Play-60 type commercial going to celebrate it.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
