Update: Mat Latos left Friday's game with lower back spasms.
Latos gave up four runs (three earned) on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts over five innings before leaving with back spasms. The trainers paid him a visit in the third inning and he stayed in, but then promptly served up a pair of home runs the following inning. While it would have been nice to get more out of him in this outing, owners can take solace in the fact that he'll have the whole All Star break to rest and get better.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Cecil Shorts might be ready to play against Jacksonville in Week 6.
Both Shorts and Nate Washington missed Thursday's game, making way for Jaelen Strong and Keith Mumphery. While strong caught two TDs, Mumphery was a non-factor. Strong earned himself more playing time in the coming weeks, possibly coming at Shorts' expense, though it could come at Washington's as coach Bill O'Brien said that Shorts had a better chance of playing against Jacksonville than Washington does.
