Dillon Gee allowed just one run on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts over seven innings against the Braves on Wednesday.
Gee made an immediate impact in his return to the Mets starting rotation, as he improved to 4-1 following his one-run performance. He has limited his opponents to a .217 average through his first nine starts and if he is able to support that low of an average heading into the second half, he makes for a solid pickup before his next start. RB Carlos Hyde (foot) did not practice on Thursday.
Shaun Draughn will likely get his third straight start in the place of Carlos Hyde this week who didn't practice Thursday. Hyde has not done much at practice since he broke his foot and I'm not sure we will see much of him going forward. No need to risk anything with the 49ers not making any sort of playoff noise. Eric Weddle (groin) is not practicing on Thursday.
The Chargers have been disappointing this season but Eric Weddle continues to play great for the Chargers defense. Unfortunately, Weddle missed Thursday's practice due to a groin injury. Weddle is the Chargers leading tackler and the secondary would miss him dearly if he can't play in Week 12. Analysis: James Grande
