Dillon Gee allowed just one run on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts over seven innings against the Braves on Wednesday.
Gee made an immediate impact in his return to the Mets starting rotation, as he improved to 4-1 following his one-run performance. He has limited his opponents to a .217 average through his first nine starts and if he is able to support that low of an average heading into the second half, he makes for a solid pickup before his next start. The Indians recalled Danny Salazar from Triple-A Columbus Saturday.
The expected move was announced Thursday after the Tribe felt they needed to push Carlos Carrasco (head/jaw) back to Monday. Salazar was dominant in his one Triple-A start, and as Fantasy Alarm's Brad Costilo noted earlier in the week, Salazar was very solid in his final 12 starts [of 2014], limiting opposing hitters to a .255 average/.668 OPS while striking out 1/4 of the batters he faced.
