George Springer went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored during the Astros' 8-4 win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Springer has now homered in back-to-back games, bringing his season total up to 19 home runs with 50 RBI through 282 at-bats. He has struggled with the strikeout in his first season in the big leagues sitting on a 38.7 percent strikeout rate, but the good has certainly outweighed the bad in his case as he remains on track to reach 30-plus home runs and 100 RBI in his rookie season. The Hornets officially signed Elliot Williams Tuesday.

There is not much if any fantasy value here and that is if he makes the final Hornets roster. He can go undrafted in all fantasy basketball formats for the 2015-16 season. The terms of the deal have not been released.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Muhammed Wilkerson will report to training camp Wednesday.

Wilkerson has decided to prove it on the field in 2015 that he is deserving of a mega deal next off-season when he becomes a free agent. He will receive $6.96 million in the final year of his rookie deal. If he does continue to be a dominant defensive lineman, he could command at least what the Saints Cameron Jordan received two-months ago which was five-years, $60 million dollars. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Le'Veon Bell (suspension) is negotiating a settlement with the NFL to reduce his suspension to one or two games.

This incident happenly nearly a year ago and Bell is just now negotiating a settlement with the NFL. He was pulled over in August of 2014 with with marijuana in his car, and was charged with both possession and received a DUI. This is a first offense for Bell and in all likely-hood the suspension will be reduced. If it is taken down to one or two games, Bell should be considered the number one overall player in fantasy especially in a PPR league. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Geno Atkins tore his ACL on Halloween night in 2013. Rather than training and improving, Atkins was forced to rehabilitate throughout the ensuing offseason. Atkins has been training and preparing this offseason for the coming year. And according to defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, he's dominating.

Bengals Defensive line coach Jay Hayes said, "It's scary how fast and explosive he is right now ... I think he has the confidence that he has his legs under him." It was a down 2014 for Atkins coming off his ACL injury but he looks primed and ready to go for a comeback 2015 season. Analysis: Drew Phelps

The Blue Jays are still talking with the WhiteSox about Jeff Samardzija.

Jeff Samardzija has really turned around his season over the past six weeks. He has lowered his ERA to 3.91 with a 1.19 WHIP, and 108/26 K/BB ratio in 140 1/3 innings. The White Sox can command a nice haul for the 30-year-old. The Blue Jays have been the most aggressive in pursuing his services but the Giants are also reportedly in the mix. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Talks on a possible settlement between Tom Brady (suspension) and the NFL continued Tuesday.

This story just does not want to end and even after a ruling is made, it will not end there. If Goodell upholds his original ruling of four-games, then it is a foregone conclusion that Tom Brady and his representatives will take the NFL to court. He will in all likely-hood, "seek an injunction that will allow him to play while his case works its way through the courts," according to ESPN.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Chris Hatcher struck out the side in a scoreless inning in his second minor league rehab appearance for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Monday.

Hatcher is recovering from a strained oblique. This outing had the Dodgers breathing a little easier after he had such a shaky first appearance Friday, when he allowed two earned runs on three hits in one inning. The team is hoping to have him back by the end of July, but they may want him to make one more appearance in rehab just to be sure. Analysis: Howard Bender

Rusney Castillo is back with the the Red Sox after the Shane Victorino trade.

With the trade of Shane Victorino, Castillo should see some extra work as he shares right field with Alejandro De Aza and backs up Mookie Betts in center. How manager John Farrell exactly deploys him is not yet known, but he should figure to see a significant amount of time. Analysis: Howard Bender
