Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 22nd save after throwing a perfect innings against the Brewers on Wednesday. He had one strikeout.
In the midst of trade rumors, Papelbon has been outstanding for the Phillies of late, having now recorded three consecutive saves in the team's sweep of the Brewers. Considering the mileage his arm has added of late, Thursday will likely be a day off for Papelbon, so expect either Jake Diekman or Ken Giles to take over the close duties if a save situation was to arise. Tevin Coleman (ribs) will play Week 5 against Washington.
Coleman seems to have moved past his rib injury, but while he is expected to play Sunday, he will obviously play a limited role behind Devonta Freeman. The Falcons offense is firing on all cylinders right now and they don't need/want to upset the balance of things while they are on this run. Expect Coleman to work as a part-time change-of-pace back this week. Analysis: Howard Bender
Jadeveon Clowney has a walking boot on his right foot.
Clowney limped off the field late in the game while the Colts were driving down for their final touchdown of the night. He remained on the sidelines with what the Texans are saying is an ankle issue. The oft-injured Clowney will stay in the boot as a precaution and he will be re-evaluated after a couple of days. Analysis: Howard Bender
