Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 22nd save after throwing a perfect innings against the Brewers on Wednesday. He had one strikeout.
In the midst of trade rumors, Papelbon has been outstanding for the Phillies of late, having now recorded three consecutive saves in the team's sweep of the Brewers. Considering the mileage his arm has added of late, Thursday will likely be a day off for Papelbon, so expect either Jake Diekman or Ken Giles to take over the close duties if a save situation was to arise.
