Justin Verlander, who faces the Dodgers Tuesday night, owns the highest winning percentage in Interleague play (min. 20 starts) at .917 (22-2).
While that's all well and good, those numbers are coming from a much different Justin Verlander than the one we are seeing now. That's not to say that he can't be successful in his game against the Dodgers, but before you start talking career winning percentage, you better realize that you're talking about a guy who is currently sitting on a 4.71 ERA and 1.49 WHIP this season.ANALYST: Howard Bender
George Springer went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI in the Astros 6-2 loss to the Tigers on Friday.
Springer has now collected two hits in three straight games which has helped raise his average from .195 to .214 on the season. A concussion sidelined Springer in early May but he has played well since his return, hitting .282 with six runs, two home runs and four RBI. Fantasy owners will have to deal with the low batting average as Springer is once again on pace to rank among the league leaders in strikeouts but he’s already reached double-digit stole bases and could flirt with a 30/30 season given his potential.
