Manny Machado went 5-for-6 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored during the Orioles' 8-2 win over the Nationals on Monday.
Just before serving his five game suspension, Machado had two-straight games with a home run and since he's returned, he's got three-straight multi-hit games with another homer here on Monday. For those who can't keep up, that's now a five game hit-streak in which he is batting .440 (11-for-25) with three home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. He may still be battling maturity issues, but at least he's hitting the ball while he's learning.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
