Pablo Sandoval is not in the Giants starting lineup on Monday.

Sandoval was hoping to be back in the lineup on Monday, but is still battling the effects of an deep bruise on his elbow. He should still be consider day-to-day.ANALYST: David Kerr

Derrick Rose (soreness) is expected to play on Wednesday.

After missing Monday's game with soreness, Derrick Rose is not on the Bulls' injury report on Tuesday. With Jimmy Butler out for 3-4 weeks, look for Rose to have a huge part in the offensive game-plan. He should see well over 30 minutes of action, unless his knee bothers him, and he is averaging 15.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per-game, but he should do more damage than that without Butler. Analysis: Mike Cahill

Steelers have released David Nelson.

At the beginning of his career, David Nelson looked like he had a chance to make it in the league in a limited role for a WR needy team. He has bounced around from a couple teams in the NFL including the Bills and Jets before going to the Steelers. Nelson went un-drafted out of Florida before being signed by the Bills and playing in 15 games for them. Don't be surprised to see a team swoop him up as he has experience and a shot to play with 50 games under his belt and production of 138 receptions, 1, 530 reception yards, and 10 TDs. Analysis: Mike Cahill

Rams have signed Kain Colter to a futures deal.

Kain Colter is a bit of a Swiss Army knife as he has played a lot of positions. His role now is at WR, but he played QB, RB, and WR at Northwestern and had some solid numbers. For his career at Northwester, Colter went 223-for-322, 2,166 yards passing, and 18 touchdowns with only nine interceptions. He added 2,863 yards from scrimmage as a WR and RB, with most of his damage coming from the RB position, and 31 touchdowns. The Rams like their gadget players and if he can make some noise and get on the field, expect some crazy plays coming out of team. Colte was un-drafted in the 2014 draft and signed to the Vikings before being released and then signed to their practice squad.  Analysis: Mike Cahill

Festus Ezeli (knee) is expected to miss at least six weeks after undergoing surgery.

With the earliest that Festus Ezeli being re-evaluated being in six weeks, he should be dropped. If he comes back at that six week mark, there will only be two weeks left in the regular season, and odds are that they hold him out until the play-offs since they can afford to. It appears that Marreese Speight will take over Ezeli's 17.75 minutes per-game duties. He could be worth an add in a deep-league since he has been playing well and Ezeli will be out a minimum of six weeks. Analysis: Mike Cahill

Raiders have released Nate Allen.

The Safety for the Raiders was limited to only five games this season due to a knee injury. Nate Allen has a long list of injuries even in Philadelphia and the $4.9 million he is owed next season does not add up to his five game stats. In his two games with the Raider, Allen had 11 tackles, one interception, and two passes defended. The former second-round pick of the Eagles should not have a problem finding a new home, but the dollars are likely to be more incentive based and probably on a one or two year deal. Analysis: Mike Cahill

James Harden (finger) will play on Tuesday night.

Harden's finger got bent in a funny way during Sunday's game and was a little swollen but according to the man himself "was fine." He was taken out of the end of Sunday's game after it happened but that likely had more to do with the score at that point rather than the injury. Houston takes on Golden State Tuesday in what could be a track meet of a game giving Harden more opportunities to put up shots. With him officially in the lineup, he should be a strong play in all lineups against the Warriors. Analysis: Matt Selz

Pelicans are motivated to trade Eric Gordon or Tyreke Evans before the trade deadline.

New Orleans is trying to take ship two oft-injured guys out of town and get some value back for them that may actually see the court more often. Both Evans and Gordon are currently sidelined with injuries which makes trading right now nearly impossible so it may be a little bit before their names heat up on the trade market. Owners of Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole would see a big boost in value if Gordon or Evans were to be moved. Analysis: Matt Selz

Masahiro Tanaka (elbow) threw off of a mound for the first time since his surgery and it went great.

An arthroscopic procedure was done back in October to remove a bone spur from his elbow that had been there since prior to signing with the Yankees. With his pre-spring training and rehab plan already in full swing he should be good to go for the start start of the pre-season work coming his way. Tanaka is still dealing with the partially torn ligament in his elbow and was spotty at times last season as he tried to pitch around the injury. Overall he went 12-7 with a 3.51 ERA in 24 starts for the Bronx Bombers and should be able to improve on those numbers assuming he stays healthy this season. Analysis: Matt Selz

Travis Ishikawa has signed a minor league contract with the White Sox.

Ishikawa was slated to be a member of the Mariners with the same type deal less than a month ago but that fell through. He managed to see action in just 44 games in 2015 carrying just a .206/.306/.302 slash line and with the White Sox having very good first base depth already, Ishikawa should be a minor league depth piece for Chicago for much of the season. Analysis: Matt Selz

Blake Griffin has received a four game suspension.

The suspension stems from the altercation with the team equipment manager that ultimately wound up getting the two gentleman sent home and Blake needing work done to fix his broken right hand. Griffin is expected to miss another few weeks yet and so the suspension will not occur until he's back active on the Clippers roster. Owners, will have to sit on the big man a little longer before getting his offensive stats back in your lineup. Analysis: Matt Selz

Steelers have signed Cole Manhart to a futures deal.

Pittsburgh makes his fourth stop in the NFL since coming out in the 2015 draft. He was signed as an UDFA by Philadelphia and then spent training camp with the Saints prior to being cut at the beginning of September and then getting signed once more by the Raiders at the end of December. The futures deal puts him on the 90-man roster that will start August's camp with the Steelers. He was a two-time All-American at NCAA DII University of Nebraska-Kearney but will have some work to do to officially make an NFL roster in 2016. Analysis: Matt Selz
