Paul Pierce's representatives have told teams he is seeking a two-year contract in the range of $9-10 million per year.
It looks like Pierce is looking to play only two more seasons but is a team willing to give an aging player that kind of money. He made $15.3 million last season and hasn't made less than $10 million since 2003. ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
