MRI shows Edwin Encarnacion has right quadriceps strain.
Nooo! Encarnacion owners ( including myself) need to take deep breaths and relax as the slugging first baseman has a bad injury that could be a lot worse. Look for the Blue Jays to put him on the disabled list later today or tomorrow. There is some good news though, the All-Star break is next week and this injury shouldn't keep E5 out longer than two to three weeks. ANALYST: Mark Kaplan
Cecil Shorts might be ready to play against Jacksonville in Week 6.
Both Shorts and Nate Washington missed Thursday's game, making way for Jaelen Strong and Keith Mumphery. While strong caught two TDs, Mumphery was a non-factor. Strong earned himself more playing time in the coming weeks, possibly coming at Shorts' expense, though it could come at Washington's as coach Bill O'Brien said that Shorts had a better chance of playing against Jacksonville than Washington does.
