Michael Bourn was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

Bourn has just been a disaster with the hamstrings this season as this is his third stint on the DL. It's gotten to the point where you simply can't trust him in your lineup and he's completely unreliable with regard to stolen bases. It just might be time to move on. He'll be out until late July at the earliest this time around.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Cardinals starting pitcher Jaime Garcia, who is on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation, began playing catch Wednesday.

It was really nice to see Garcia have such a nice spring until this past weekend when his long-running shoulder issues reemerged. It is really hard at this time to predict whether the 28-year-old southpaw will be able to contribute this season. It is good news to see him playing catch already. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Derrick Favors (back) is probable for Wednesday .

This should be a fun game for Daily Fantasy Players if Favors is able to give it a go for the Jazz against Kenneth Faried and the Nuggets. You will have to wait for further updates but it looks good for Favors' return after a two game absence. If he does play, he should play his normal allotment of minutes as the starting power forward. Trevor Booker will go back to the bench and become basically useless to fantasy owners.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Free-agent RB Stevan Ridley is visiting the NY Jets Wednesday.

This spot does not make sense for Stevan Ridley as he would be competing with Chris Ivory, who is basically the same exact player. They are both early-down running backs who don't contribute much, if anything, in the pass game. Ivory is probably overall the better back with more upside and Ridley would just be part of a rotation with the Jets.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Kevin Martin (hamstring) is probable for Wednesday.

We will have to wait until after Martin has his afternoon nap to see how his hamstring feels but he did not sound confident in taking the court. It is quite impressive that the Wolves' can even field a team at this point with the laundry list of players on their injury report. Martin's owners should have a backup plan ready. if he does indeed sit on Wednesday, Lorenzo Brown and Chase Budinger will continue to see major minutes.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

J.J. Hickson (knee) is questionable for Wednesday' game.

Hickson is battling knee soreness and should be considered questionable for Wednesday night's game. This will be a wait and see situation and we'll know more if he goes through pregame shoot around with the team. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Tony Allen (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

After Allen missed Monday night's game, the general thought was that he would miss the rest of the week due to the aggravation to his hamstring. That is looking more and more likely as he has still not seen the practice floor. Vince Carter will get most of his minutes while Jeff Green also benefits. Allen can be dropped in all re-draft leagues. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Zach Randolph (elbow) did not practice Wednesday.

Randolph has made it clear that he will play on Friday against the Thunder and with two full days to rest, he should be good to go. This hyper-extension has caused more trouble than anyone thought but he plans to receive treatment and wear a sleeve on his right arm.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Tony Romo has agreed to restructure his contract, clearing $13 million in cap space.

The Cowboys had pushed themselves right to the cap limit after re-signing Rolando McClain to a one-year, $3 million deal. Romo is likely converting most of his $17 million salary into a "signing" bonus. Teams have so many ways to get around the cap these days. This will give the team to go after another free agent and sign their rookies after the NFL Draft.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Manager Mike Redmond said Wednesday he will give veteran first baseman Michael Morse days off throughout the season in an effort to keep him healthy.

Par for the course with most veterans these days. While the hope is that he won;t be held out too many times, fantasy owners should appreciate it if it works. Look for Jeff Baker to get some extra starts against lefties when Morse does rest. Analysis: Howard Bender

Chris Coghlan was scratched from Wednesday's spring lineup due to a stiff neck.

Coghlan is still expected to be the starting left fielder this year, but consider him day-to-day for now. With Chris Denorfia also sidelined, look for Ryan Sweeney and Junior lake to try and impress. Analysis: Howard Bender

Nate Jones (Tommy John Surgery) threw his first bullpen in nearly 12 months with no reported problems.

And it's a long road back, Mr. Jones. Last year's sleeper darling in the bullpen ended up with surgery following an injury-plagued year and is now a long way off from returning. Good for him to get in a session though. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Reds have not made progress in contract talks with starting pitcher Johnny Cueto.

The Reds exercised their option on Cueto for this season and they'd like to try and lock him down for a permanent spot with the Reds. He might, however, opt to play out the season if he thinks the team is lowballing him and he can get money out of free agency. Analysis: Howard Bender

The White Sox scratched Brad Penny in favor of Scott Carroll on Tuesday against the Mariners due to an illness.

So it wasn't real "in favor of" Scott Carroll. They just didn't have much of a choice with Penny feeling under the weather. Penny is supposed to earn the spot-starter/long relief role in the White Sox pen this season and with Chris Sale hurt, he could get a start here at the beginning of the season. We wouldn't even think about using him for fantasy though. Analysis: Howard Bender
