Adrian Beltre went 2-for-5 with a home run, one RBI and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Mets.
Beltre is now riding a nine-game hit streak, which features two home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored. He is now sitting on a .336 average with 10 home runs and 45 RBI despite missing a significant amount of time earlier in the season. As long as he is able to avoid an extended stint on the disabled list in the second half, he will finish as one of the top fantasy third basemen once again. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Mark Teixeira went 3-for-4 with a solo home run against the Mets on Saturday.
That’s Tex’s eighth home run of the year. He won’t continue to hit home runs at this rate, but it’s not unreasonable to think he can hit 25 or more this year. He has also drawn as many walks as he has strikeouts. And he’s hitting .254 despite a .163 BABIP. That’s mainly because most of the balls he’s hitting are leaving the yard right now, but it’s still encouraging for his batting average going forward. Analysis: Brett Talley
