Billy Hamilton went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Brewers.
Prior to the start of the 2014 season, the Reds center fielder was not know for his power stroke, but has now managed to hit five home runs up to this point, putting him on pace to reach double-digits in that category by season's end. He is now slashing .279/.309/.408 with five home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored and 35 stolen bases, which is very respectable for a first year starter. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Jose Reyes pleaded not guilty to his domestic abuse charge.
Reyes was not present but his attorney entered the plea on his behalf. The next court date is scheduled for Jan. 14, when a pretrial hearing is scheduled. Reyes was arrested after an incident with his wife left her to be treated at the hospital for leg injuries and scratches on her neck. This is not going to be a good thing for Reyes or the Rockies or MLB for that matter. The league is likely going to let it play out in court before deciding if disciplinary actions should be taken.
