Mark Teixeira, who was in the Yankees' starting lineup on Thursday said his knee is still a little sore one day after getting it drained.
You should expect this from a walking injury like Mark Teixeira. If it isn't his wrist, it's his knee. The injuries only increase as he gets older. Teixeira is batting under .250 again this season and really, that's what you should expect from this point forward. Sure, he'll hit some home runs, but his days as an elite first baseman are long gone.ANALYST: David Kerr
Phillies recalled Cody Asche from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies seem ready to commit to Asche as their new starting left fielder which certainly gums up the outfield configuration for veterans like Ben Revere, Grady Sizemore and Jeff Francoeur. It also displaces Darin Ruf. While they may be happy with the defensive work he did down in the minors, Asche's bat never really heated up, so the team is still going to have some serious offensive woes. This plan may have looked good on paper, but it should be re-visited in a couple of weeks to see how things are panning out. Analysis: Howard Bender
