Ian Desmond went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Rockies.
Although Desmond is just 5-for-26 (.192 BA) over his last seven games, he has managed to give his fantasy owners something to be happy with, with three extra-base hits (1 HR), five RBI and two runs scored in that span. He is now sitting on a career-low .236 average, but is on pace to reach career-highs in both home runs (15) and RBI (51) if he stays on this pace. As long as his power stroke continues show up he remains a top option at his position regardless of his batting average. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson could split third-down snaps.
Due to his tenure in Buffalo, Jackson is going to get some work, but this won't be a 50/50 split by any means. McCoy is an uber-talented back who will be the bell cow out in Buffalo. Fantasy owners who draft McCoy in drafts this upcoming season should also draft Jackson, solely as a handcuff option. The reported split should be taken with a grain of salt until we get clarification closer to season time. Analysis: Colby Conway
Marlins released SS Yosmany Guerra.
Guerra is 32 years old and has yet to play at a level higher than Double-A. He wasn't really a fantasy asset to begin with, but this news just confirms that notion. If for some unforsaken reason you rostered Guerra, it is time to release him, just like the Marlins did today. Analysis: Colby Conway
