Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored during the Brewers' 7-4 loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Braun has now put together a solid eight-game hit streak and is batting .394 with two home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in that span. The overall power is down from recent years, likely the result of the oblique issues he dealt with earlier in the year, but he's proven that his batter's eye continues to be sharp and the power should come back in the second half.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Orioles are expected to option Tyler Wilson to Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson's demotion to Triple-A will clear a spot in the bullpen for Oliver Drake, who's been pitching unbelievably well in Triple-A. Wilson hasn't been particularly bad since being called up, appearing in two games and posting a 4.50 ERA and a 2.50 WHIP, but Drake's performance appears to have have won him the opportunity to take that next step. Athletics recalled Kendall Graveman from Triple-A Nashville.
Graveman will make the start in today's game against the Rays as a result of Drew Pomeranz being placed on the DL. Graveman struggled mightily in his four starts with the A's (8.27 ERA, 2.02 WHIP, 9/7 strikeout-to-walk ratio) prior to being sent back down to Triple-A, but has been dominant in his four minor leagues starts since then (1.85 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 14/9 strikeout-to-walk ratio).
