Justin Verlander allowed two runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings in Wednesday's 9-3 victory over the A's.

Wednesday was Verlander's third straight quality start. Both runs came in the first when Verlander allowed solo home runs to Coco Crisp and Brandon Moss. JV's struggles have been well-publicized, but since his "mechanical overall" the results have improved. He's still a shred of his former self.
