Bulls officials are headed to Los Angeles to meet Pau Gasol.
Fantasy owners should not be encouraging this signing as it would all but stymie the chance of Taj Gibson beginning the year as a starter, as the team has said he would. Gasol would be a big upgrade from Carlos Boozer and his negative 4.51 real plus-minus rating last year (81st worst out of 88 power forwards). Boozer currently has one more year left on his contract before becoming an unrestricted free agent and would likely get moved in a sign-and-trade or released under the amnesty clause should Gasol decide to sign with Chicago.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Le'Veon Bell (knee) hasn't been cleared to start running yet.
After an injury plagued 2015 season, Bell is looking to get healthy and be ready for the regular season. He has not yet been cleared to start running but with the Super Bowl not being played yet, Bell has time to get back into shape. Expect him and the Steelers training staff to work hard on getting him ready for the regular season where he should be considered a top fantasy RB. Analysis: Dillon Conklin
Kings are strongly weighing the firing of coach George Karl.
It has been rumored for quite some time that it wouldn't be long before Karl was out as the coach in Sacramento. It seems like that time has come as Karl has lost support in the front office among other riffs with players on the team. There is no doubt Karl is a great coach but this fit with the Kings just wasn't a good one from the start. Analysis: Dillon Conklin
