Garrett Richards won again Tuesday as the Angels defeated the White Sox in game one of their double-header. He allowed three runs and two walks with nine strikeouts over eight innings.
Richards remains undefeated over his last six starts (5-0) with an overall record of 9-2 in 17 starts. He held the White Sox to just two hits with their three runs coming off a Jose Abreu three-run home run in the first inning. Opponents are now hitting just .194 against the young righty, which is tops among AL qualified pitchers and second best in MLB behind Reds Johnny Cueto's .171 oppBA. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
The Mariners and Marlins are discussing a trade that would send Marcell Ozuna to Seattle.
After hitting 23 home runs in his first full season in 2013, Ozuna disappointed with just 10 home runs in 494 PA in 2014. His HR/FB rate fell back to around league average last year, which obviously killed his value. But he did cut his strikeout rate down from the mid-20's to the low-20's and he'll just be 25 this season, so there'a a chance for a bounce back. Unfortunately a move to Seattle wouldn't represent an upgrade in home park, but at least it's a lateral move from Miami. Analysis: Brett Talley
