Corey Kluber was a tough luck loser on Monday, allowing just one run on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 6.2 innings against the Dodgers.
Despite allowing only one run over 6.2 innings, Kluber found himself in the loss column on Monday night as he was out-pitched by Dodger starter Dan Haren. He is now 7-6 with a 2.99 ERA and 1.22 WHIP through 18 starts, while maintaining a solid 127:29 K:BB rate over 117.1 innings. As long as he continues to keep his control in check, there is no reason to believe that his first half success won't carry on entering the month of July. He will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Royals on Sunday.ANALYST: Matthew Beck
