Jets don't expect Chris Johnson to be a workhorse running back and will limit his carries to keep him fresh.
It seems like the Jets signed Johnson thinking he could be a more productive back if given fewer carries, and hit more "home runs" with fresh legs. CJ?K has looked terrible between the tackles the last couple of seasons, and the three-headed monster of Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell and Chris Johnson could be a very productive backfield. It could be a frustrating situation for fantasy owners. ANALYST:
Phillies recalled Cody Asche from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies seem ready to commit to Asche as their new starting left fielder which certainly gums up the outfield configuration for veterans like Ben Revere, Grady Sizemore and Jeff Francoeur. It also displaces Darin Ruf. While they may be happy with the defensive work he did down in the minors, Asche's bat never really heated up, so the team is still going to have some serious offensive woes. This plan may have looked good on paper, but it should be re-visited in a couple of weeks to see how things are panning out. Analysis: Howard Bender
