Manager Ryne Sandberg said he sat Domonic Brown on Tuesday to give him a little mental break.

Brown has failed to live up to the lofty expectations put on him heading into the 2014 season, sitting on a .217 average with five home runs and 37 RBI through 263 at-bats. Up to his point his 52.6 AB/HR is a far cry from last season's 18.4 AB/HR mark, and until he shows signs of turning things around he should remain a fringe fantasy option in all leagues outside of the NL-only variety.
