Alex Cobb was tagged for six runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts over five innings against the Pirates on Monday.
Just a brutal outing for the 26-year old right-hander and actually his third shellacking in his last six starts. It looked as if Cobb was righting the ship after he allowed just one run in his previous two outings (13.1 innings), but he just couldn't seem to produce the same results. We'd like to tell you he's going to be okay, but the recent performances make trusting him against Baltimore in Camden Yards extremely difficult.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Scott Baker's next start will either be Friday or Saturday.
With Brandon McCarthy now out for the balance of the season, Baker will try to solidify a role in the Dodger rotation. He pitched well in his first start this year, but gave up a pair of homers that led to him taking the loss against the Padres on Sunday. It did not help his cause that the Dodgers only managed to score one run behind him. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
