Tim Duncan has decided to opt into the final year of his contract at $10.3M, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Since there's nothing you can say about Duncan that his game doesn't already, we can say that we're happy that we don;t have to spend the entire offseason wondering if he is going to retire or not. Thank you, Tim.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
