Ervin Santana allowed three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over six innings against the Nationals on Sunday.
Despite losing his last three starts, Santana has started to show signs of bouncing back from a rough stretch of outings, now sitting 5-5 with a 4.15 ERA and 1.30 WHIP through 14 starts. Currently, opposing batters are hitting .271 against Santana, which is slightly higher than his career mark of a .254 BAA, so expect an adjustment as he starts to get more innings under his belt, leading to more production along the way.ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Cardinals have signed DT Red Bryant.
This is already the third team Bryant has been with this season as the 31-year old defensive lineman is nothing more than added depth and always the roster casualty when the team needs roster room. At least he gets to spend his Thanksgiving knowing that he is still employed. Analysis: Howard Bender
