Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said the mechanical adjustments Justin Verlander made last week didn't play a major factor in his solid start Saturday night.
It's hard to imagine that the mechanical adjustments didn't play some sort of role here as this was easily Verlander's best start of the season. It didn't just magically happen, so there is definitely something to the change that is not being acknowledged here. We'll see what happens with his next start which comes against Houston on the road.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Rudy Gay (ankle) will start against the 76ers on Wednesday.
Gay has been playing through an ankle injury, and after being on a slight minutes limit for the last couple of games, he isn't expected to be on Wednesday night against the 76ers. Consider him a solid start going up against a bad team, while featuring an average of 17 points and nearly seven rebounds per game on the season. Analysis: Dom Murtha
Rajon Rondo (toe) will play against the 76ers on Wednesday.
While his fantasy numbers have been solid this season, Rondo has been a turnstile defensively and has brought a bad locker room vibe to Sacramento. Luckily for fantasy owners, the only thing that matters is his statistical production, which has been good so far, so continue to start him on a nightly basis, just like recently saved coach Karl will do going forward.
