Carlos Santana continues to swing a hot bat going 2-for-5 with a solo-home run in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Tigers.
Santana has been pretty much on a roll since returning from the DL back on June 6th. Since then, he is hitting .340 (18-for-53) with five home runs and an OBP near .500 over that 15 game span. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
MLB/MLBPA panel is deadlocked over whether Josh Hamilton should be sent to rehab.
Hamilton's fate rested in the hands of four people, and the votes were split on whether or not to send the former All-Star to rehab. Hamilton was known to have failed at least six drug tests as a minor leaguer and was suspended from baseball from 2004 to 2006. He is in the third year of a five-year, $125 million deal and the Angels are hoping that he is on the field. He has been a bust since inking this contract and he is worth no more than a last round draft pick, especially with this relapse news. Analysis: Colby Conway
