UPDATES & NEWS
A.J. Burnett pitched his best game of the season, going the distance holding the Cardinals to one run with a walk and three strikeouts in the 5-1 road victory Friday.
Burnett is falling into a nice groove over his last three starts (24.1) as he owns a 2-1 record with a 2.22 ERA and 10 strikeouts to just three walks. Burnett will look to build off his best outing of the season when he takes the mound again on Wednesday at home against the Marlins. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Update: Corey Dickerson was removed from Saturday's game with a left quad injury.
While the news regarding Dickerson's plantar fasciitis was positive, he was removed after he fouled a ball off his back leg and is now day-to-day with what the team is calling a quad injury. When his leg appeared to be swollen, manager Walt Weiss opted to play it safe and remove Dickerson who had gone 0-for-3 in Saturday's game against the Giants. Consider him day-to-day for right now and figure he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender
