Rams QB Sam Bradford (knee) participated in back-to-back practices for the first time during organized team activities Thursday.
An excellent step forward in Bradford's recovery and a sign that he will be ready and under center for Week 1. Once he's in training camp and does a little more scrambling and maybe takes a few light hits, we'll have a better idea of how confident he will be to stand there in the pocket and take his lumps. All signs point to him being a reasonably decent QB2 this year.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Cecil Shorts might be ready to play against Jacksonville in Week 6.
Both Shorts and Nate Washington missed Thursday's game, making way for Jaelen Strong and Keith Mumphery. While strong caught two TDs, Mumphery was a non-factor. Strong earned himself more playing time in the coming weeks, possibly coming at Shorts' expense, though it could come at Washington's as coach Bill O'Brien said that Shorts had a better chance of playing against Jacksonville than Washington does.
