Glen Perkins was unavailable Wednesday due to flu-like symptoms.

The Twins closer was desperately missed as Casey Fien came into the game with a one run lead and promptly blew the save and the game by giving up back-to-back home runs. Perkins is an elite closer and should be back closing games in the next few days.ANALYST: Mark Kaplan

Eagles signed WR Miles Austin.

After a disappointing season with the Browns which was also marred with a kidney injury, Austin heads back to the NFC East to join the Eagles who are obviously hoping he can return with some of that old 2009 magic. There's not much of a receiving corps there, so if he plays well in camp, he could see a decent-sized role. Analysis: Howard Bender

J.P. Arencibia has been reassigned to minor league camp.

Even with Matt Wieters not expected to start the season on-time, the Orioles are not looking at JPA to play a big role with the team. Caleb Joseph, Steve Clevenger and Ryan Lavarnway all outplayed him this spring so he'll head to the minors and try and work on his plate discipline and defense. Analysis: Howard Bender

Cody Zeller (shoulder) went through the morning shootaround and is expected to play Monday night.

Zeller has missed the last five-straight games and nine of the last 10 due to the ankle issue. But his participation in the morning shootaround certainly offers some encouraging news. Marvin Williams will return to his bench role with Zeller on the mend. Analysis: Howard Bender

Tanner Scheppers will undergo a MRI on his sore right ankle.

Scheppers was dealing with a sore ankle earlier this spring but has made a few appearances recently. The MRI seems more precautionary than anything, but if the Rangers find something, he could land on the DL. Stay tuned. Analysis: Howard Bender

Marlins optioned RHP Preston Claiborne to Triple-A New Orleans.

The former Yankees prospect had a decent spring, allowing just two runs (one earned) with a 6:2 K:BB over 7 1/3 innings. He'll likely be back up when the Marlins need another bullpen arm and if he can maintain his strikeout rate and keep the ball in the yard, his stay could be lengthy. Analysis: Howard Bender

Rangers optioned RHP Nick Tepesch to Triple-A Round Rock.

It was surprising that he lasted this long. After 20 earned runs (three home runs allowed) and just a 6:5 K:BB over 17 1/3 innings this spring, it was time for Tepesch to go. He'll likely be back later in the season should the Rangers need a spot starter, but for now, he needs to work on his game. Analysis: Howard Bender

Devin Mesoraco (cramp) said his hamstring is still a little sore, but could play if it were the regular season.

Mesoraco left Sunday's game early but both he and the team continued to downplay the whole thing. Between the concussion and this cramping issue with the quad and the hamstring, it's been a little bit of a rough spring for him, but he is expected to come out of it just fine. Analysis: Howard Bender

Kyle Lowry (back) will not play on Monday.

This will make his third straight game missed and his fifth out of the last six. He's still being called day-to-day, but Greivis Vasquez is going to continue to start until Lowry is truly healthy. Analysis: Howard Bender

Ricky Rubio (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game.

Rubio has missed the last six straight games with the ankle injury, but some within the organization believed he could return Monday. The team will have him test it out during the day, but even if he does play, he will likely have his minutes limited. Analysis: Howard Bender

Gorgui Dieng (face) is listed as questionable for Monday's game.

Dieng left Sunday's game after just nine minutes when he got hit in the face and suffered what is only being called a facial contusion. The injury isn't considered serious but there's a chance they hold him back a day to make sure he's okay. Analysis: Howard Bender

Kevin Martin (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday's game.

Martin has now missed the last four games with the hamstring injury and it's not looking good for Monday either. With him out, expect Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins to see huge minutes while guys like Anthony Bennett and Robbie Hummel see a little extra action. Analysis: Howard Bender

Corey Brewer (oblique) is probable for Monday's game.

While the oblique injuries tend to nag, Brewer, who was listed as probably last Friday, played 29 minutes against the Timberwolves and then another 22 minutes on Sunday against the Wizards. He should be just fine for Monday. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jason Terry is probable for Monday's game.

Terry will play both sides of the back-to-back and that's good news in terms of depth for the Rockets, who will be without four roster players. He is seeing less time than Pablo Prigioni so he still won't be worth the roster add. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Kostas Papanikolaou (ankle) will not play on Monday.

Papanikolaou remains out on Monday and is slated to miss the next ten days according to Coach Kevin McHale. He hasn't had a major impact on the Rockets this season outside of depth so he's not worth the daily leagues play in terms of fantasy. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Pat Beverley (wrist) will not play on Monday.

Beverley has a torn ligament in his wrist and was ruled out for a week last Wednesday. He has missed the last three Houston games and will remain out Monday night. Check back for an update later in the week to see if he returns to the line-up. Analysis: Rob Trayah
