Tigers manager Brad Ausmus didn't reveal specifics, but confirmed Tuesday that he, along with pitching coach Jeff Jones and Justin Verlander, studied video Tuesday and noticed a mechanical flaw with Verlander that he said is "correctable."
It has to be more than that, otherwise he would've corrected by now. Verlander has struggled all of last season and has struggled most of this season, so there is a lot more wrong there than a slight mechanical flaw. I would not drop Verlander, but would not start him either. ANALYST: Mark Kaplan
Derrick Rose will not play against the Bucks Wednesday.
Rose was doing full-contact drills Monday and participating in 5-on-5 work Tuesday. He's building up his conditioning and it shouldn't be much longer before he's back on the court. How many minutes he logs per game once he does return might be in question as the Bulls are looking more towards the playoffs than anything else. Analysis: Howard Bender
Terrence Jones (ribs, lung) wil play Wednesday.
Jones has missed the last six games with a collapsed lung, so to see him get back on the court Wednesday is great news just from a humanistic standpoint. If he can continue to shine glass as he's done throughout the season (7.3 boards per game), then he'll be a nice asset down the stretch. Analysis: Howard Bender
