Matt Adams homered for the third-straight game and finished Sunday 1-for-4 with the home run, two RBI and a run scored against the Nationals.

Adams has shown the Cardinals that they were right to send Osacar Taveras down once he came off the disabled list and let him go back to full-time duty at first. Since his return, he is 4-for-11 (.364) with three home runs, four RBI and three runs scored. While he certainly won't keep this torrid pace up, you should be riding this wave until it breaks.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Trevor Cahill has secured the final spot in the Diamondbacks' rotation.

With this news, it is confirmed that Daniel Hudson will start the season out of the team's bullpen. Cahill really struggled last season, but the team believes his revamped mechanics will equate to better success this season. In 17 starts and 14 relief appearances last year, he compiled a rough 5.61 ERA. Starters in Arizona will likely be back-end starters in many fantasy rotations this season. Analysis: Colby Conway

Free-agent LB Lance Briggs has drawn interest from the Cowboys and Buccaneers.

Briggs also met with the 49ers today, but has also received interest from Dallas and Tampa Bay. San Francisco seems like the most logical suitor for Briggs, as it is near his hometown and they are in desperate need of linebackers. Briggs was a force in Chicago during his entire 12-year career and teams still believe he has some left in the tank. Analysis: Colby Conway

Manager John Farrell said the goal is to have Hanley Ramirez in the 4-hole whenever possible and that should be every game.

Ramirez is expected to be a pivotal force in their lineup, which is exactly why they gave him that hefty contract. Ramirez is leading the team in RBIs this spring and he could be on his way to a nice fantasy season. The fact that the shortstop position is so thin, his positional eligibility and his great spring will force many owners to draft him as high as the middle of the second round. Analysis: Colby Conway

White Sox have released pitcher Joe Savery.

Savery has appeared in just 51 2/3 major league innings, compiling a 3.83 ERA in that span. Savery's best chance of being picked up by a team is one in need of pitching depth and stability. Analysis: Colby Conway

Reds reassigned pitcher Nate Adock, infielder Ivan De Jesus Jr., infielder Irving Falu and catcher Kyle Skipworth to minor-league camp.

There was no room for these players on the team's Opening Day roster, therefore they will all begin in the minors in 2015. These players will need injuries to major leaguers if they want a shot of being called up. Analysis: Colby Conway

Trevor Ariza hit three-three pointers and scored 15 points (5-15 FGA, 2-4 FTA) while he added eight rebounds with five assists and two steals in the Rockets' 99-96 loss against the Raptors.

The long-distance sniper had a rough night from the field, including missing the game-tying shot that dropped the Rockets to defeat. He's hit multiple three-pointers in four straight games, but is shooting only 34% from down-town. The best part is that he has been consistent in rebounding department, with at least five in nine straight games. He's worth playing out the rest of the season as you won't find a better three-point option to add. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Jonathan Pettibone is scheduled to throw live batting practice Tuesday for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery.

The 24-year old right-hander will make his first live appearance since undergoing shoulder surgery this past June. Pettibone has thrown around 10 bullpen sessions this spring, but this is the first time he will face live hitters. He will likely begin the year in Triple-A Lehigh with the opportunity to work his way back into the majors. Analysis: Colby Conway

Corey Brewer netted 13 points (6-16 FGA, 1-4 FTA) while collecting five rebounds in Houston's 99-96 loss against Toronto.

Brewer scored double-digits for the third straight game and has seen an increase in minutes due to all of the injuries in the Rockets' injuries. He's been a good sixth-man for Houston, but hasn't had any huge nights that would provide a fantasy boost for owners. It'll be interesting to see if stays the sixth-man next year or he gets put into the starting line-up as a Rocket. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Rays reassigned catcher Mayo Acosta, outfielders Corey Brown and Joey Butler and pitchers Jhan Marinez, Jim Miller and Jordan Norberto to minor league camp.

None of these players were really considered to make the club and this move just reassures the previous thought. Even though the Rays won't be very good this season, these players will begin the year in the minors. They best they can hope for is a mid-season call-up. Analysis: Colby Conway

James Harden scored 31 points (9-22 FGA, 10-12 FTA) knocking down three three-pointers with five rebounds and five assists in Houston's 99-96 loss against Toronto.

Harden was the focal point of the offense with virtually all of the Rockets' starters outside of Trevor Ariza out of the line-up with injuries. He played 38 minutes and was able to get the line as usual. It was a good start to the fantasy playoffs if you have been riding Harden all season so keep him in your line-up for the rest of the season. Analysis: Rob Trayah
