Fantasy Player Updates & News  Huge Overlay: $500k MLB Championship

The Spurs defeated the Heat 104-87 in game five to win the NBA championship.

The Spurs dominated this series winning each game by 15 or more points finishing with a 4-1 series win. ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba

Tony Romo will practice on Monday.

Romo has been much healthier this offseason in comparison to last, where he rarely practiced and was coming off back surgery. Throughout all the adversity Romo still finished as one of the best statistical quarterbacks in the NFL last season, and should only be better this year given his more fortunate health.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Travis Kelce left practice early on Monday because of a leg injury.

The extent of the injury is still unknown, but the good news is that he walked off under his own power. Kelce is one of the best fantasy tight ends in the league, so any significant injury to him would cause a considerable shakeup in the positional rankings.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

George Springer will play Tuesday with Double-A Corpus Christi as he continues his rehab assignment.

Out since early July with a broken wrist, Springer looks to be on track for being reinstated to Houston's lineup at the end of the week. Rasmus and Marisnick should continue to see time in the outfield in Springer's absence. Analysis: Matt Selz

Ketel Marte remains day-to-day with a sore hamstring, but says he feels good enough to play Monday if needed.

This will be the second straight game Marte misses due to the minor hamstring issue as Brad Miller starts at short for Seattle. Out before the game working with the trainers, Marte said the hammy felt good but the Mariners are playing it safe with the young SS. It's possible he is back out there as early as tomorrow with being listed as day-to-day. Analysis: Matt Selz

Wilson Ramos is not in the Nationals starting lineup on Monday.

A day of rest is all this is for the Nationals starting catcher as the team played yesterday afternoon and had to travel to St Louis for a game tonight. Jose Lobaton will catch for Gio Gonzalez and hit seventh in the lineup. Analysis: Matt Selz

Diamondbacks activated INF Philip Gosselin (fractured left thumb) from the 60-day disabled list.

After being acquired from Atlanta in June, the 26-year-old second baseman will make his debut Monday night for Arizona playing second and batting seventh. In 20 games with the Braves at the beginning of the season, Gosselin batted .325 (13-40) with two each of RBI, R, and steals. If he is productive he could be a decent late season waiver wire pick up as he could produce in the AVG and steals categories. Analysis: Matt Selz

Diamondbacks designated RHP Kevin Munson for assignment.

The move clears the way for the return of Phil Gosselin to the 40-man roster after having been on the 60-day DL but it also comes during what has been a rough season for the reliever. A 4.60 ERA in 31 1/3 innings with a terrible 30/25 K:BB ratio at Triple-A is a sign that he just couldn't get it done this year. Expecting that he clears waivers he could be either released or demoted. Analysis: Matt Selz
