Buster Posey has left Sunday's game after taking a foul ball off his mask. Hector Sanchez is pinch hitting.
OK, well now that's no good. Posey will be checked for a concussion and go through all the necessary protocol that comes with it. Consider him day-to-day for now and await the team's updates. You should probably plan for him to land on the 7-day DL and find a viable alternative just in case, but no need to activate unless you know Posey will be out.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Matt Andriese gave up four runs over 3 1/3 innings as the Rays lost to the Yankees 5-3 on Sunday.
The Yanks hit Andriese up pretty good on Sunday, but it wasn’t like they absolutely shelled him. Four runs on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings isn’t pretty, but it also isn’t catastrophic. In any case, manager Kevin Cash decided to pull the 25-year-old right-hander after only 63 pitches, leaving the rest of the game up to the bullpen. He now appears to have a spot in this Ray’s rotation, so he needs to work on stretching himself out and keeping the ball on the ground, rather than getting hit hard or getting into deep counts. As of now, he’s not worth a fantasy roster spot, so look for starting pitching help somewhere else on the waiver wire. Analysis: Dom Murtha
