Jayson Heyward went 2-for-7 with two RBI and a run scored in an extra-innings loss to the Angels on Saturday.
In his return to the starting lineup after missing one game due to a hand injury, Heyward was able to contribute right away, despite in a losing effort. He was able to make it through the game without re-aggravating the injury so don't expect him to miss anymore time due to the ailment. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Lions will not use the franchise tag on DT Ndamukong Suh.
There has been a lot of back-and-forth internally as to whether the Lions want to bring Suh back and obviously cost is a major issue as he will command quite the hefty salary on the open market. But they won't use the franchise tag here as they know the bitterness it will cause between player and team. Look for the Lions to make the defensive lineman a competitive offer but they won't break the bank to keep him. Analysis: Howard Bender
Le'Veon Bell could face up to a suspension of four games.
According to the new substance-abuse policy, the DUI arrest requires a mandatory two-game suspension. The fact that there was also marijuana involved opens the door for, according to the policy, a suspension of "up to four games." Considering the way the NFL continues to handle things and the fact that Bell is now, after a dynamic rookie season, a new face of the NFL, look for it to just stay at two games.
