Albert Pujols went 3-for-6, blasting his 16th home run with four RBI and a pair of runs in a 11-6 victory over the Braves on Saturday.
Pujols has really started to turn it on of late, going 9-for-26 (.346 BA) with a home run six RBI and two runs scored over his last six games. His recent production has taken his batting average up to .255 now sitting with 16 home runs and 41 RBI through 267 at-bats. Although he hasn't hit for average like we grew accustomed to seeing form his days with the Cardinals, he is still a great source of power regardless. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Carl Crawford exited Monday night's game with tightness in his right side.
It was only a matter of time before the glass-made Crawford cracked in some capacity. It's unknown whether or not he'll need a DL stint to rid him of the tightness, but if he does Scott Van Slyke and Alex Guerrero are likely to fill in for him. Guerrero has been among the hottest hitters in baseball, in a limited role, and would become mixed league relevant if/when he finds himself in the lineup. Don Mattingly, however, doesn't appear to be Guerrero's biggest fan. Let's hope he's not pigeon-holed to pinch-hitting duties. Analysis: Spencer Silva
