Patriots TE D.J. Williams has not been participating during organized team activities because of a strained calf, but he expects to be ready for the start of training camp.
Obviously Rob Gronkowski is the top tight end but given Tom Brady's unhappiness with his receiving corps and the way the Patriots like to use a two-tight end formation, Williams could see an increased role this season. The other option is Michael Hoomanawanui, so the two will compete at camp for the "back-up" job.
