Tim Lincecum allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings against the Rockies on Friday.
Lincecum posted his best start of the month on Friday, despite failing to factor into the decision. He is now 5-4 with a 4.81 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through his first 14 stats (76.2 IP) while managing to strikeout just under one batter per inning pitched (8.92 K/9). As long as he can keep striking out his opposition at a high clip, there is still fantasy value to be had from Lincecum even if he doesn't contribute much elsewhere. The Giants hurler will look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Diamondbacks on Friday.ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Rajai Davis said Sunday evening that he doesn't believe his groin injury is serious.
Davis pulled up limp on a single during Sunday's game after having a ridiculous series against the Indians. He stole three bases on Saturday and scored three runs in both games and fantasy owners jumped at the chance to add Davis. However, a problem to the leg area is a major concern for a speed guy like the center-fielder. Don't be surprised to see the Tigers play it safe for a bit and have Anthony Gose fill in for Davis until he is healthy. Analysis: Rob Trayah
Redskins are likely to pick up Robert Griffin III's option for 2016.
The true answer is "They better pick it up". The deal to pick up Griffin cost the Redskins a fortune so it shouldn't be that big of a surprise, even with the troubles he has had, that Washington is picking up the option for next year. He will have another year under Jay Gruden and his system before heading into 2016 so this might be a trade value season for RG3. Analysis: Rob Trayah
