Jason Heyward has a right hand contusion. His X-rays were negative and he is day to day.

That's best-case scenario for Heyward, though you should probably expect him to miss a couple of days while dealing with the swelling and bruising. Consider him day-to-day.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Update: Muhammad Wilkerson left practice Sunday with a hamstring injury.

With a little over a month until the start of the regular season, Wilkerson should have time to recover from a hamstring injury unless it's a very serious strain.  Analysis: Brett Talley

Muhammad Wilkerson left practice Sunday with an undisclosed injury.

Wilkerson has at least five sacks in each of the last three seasons, and he had 10.5 sacks in 2013. If this injury turns out to be something serious which causes him to miss games, it will certainly affect the strength of the New York run defense and pass rush. Analysis: Brett Talley

Michael Johnson was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury.

This early in training camp the cart could just be a precaution, but we may not know for sure until Monday. Johnson is back with the Bengals after playing 14 games for the Bucaneers in 2014.  Analysis: Steve Pimental

Mark Melancon has been ejected from Sunday's game.

Melancon was going for his 34th save of the season, but he was ejected after hitting Tucker Barnhart with a pitch. Joakim Soria will try to clean up the mess for the Pirates. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Kris Bryant left Sunday's game with an injury.

Bryant was tagged hard on the helmet on a close play at, but there has been no word yet if that was the source of the injury. If Bryant lands on the disabled list the Cubs could bring Javier Baez up to play third base. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Dion Bailey is expected to come off the PUP list and return to practice Monday.

Bailey did not play last season after suffering a severe ankle sprain in training camp. He is a bit of a long shot to make the team this season, but he still has nearly all of training camp to show he belongs. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Manager John Gibbons was ejected from Sunday's game.

Everyone is getting ejected Sunday. The Blue Jays are clinging to a one-run lead, meaning Gibbons will have to manage the bullpen from the clubhouse. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Marlon Byrd was ejected from Sunday's game.

Byrd was replaced in center field by Jason Bourgeois. Bourgeois and Skip Schumaker are the primary candidates to replace Byrd if he misses more time. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Sean Rodriguez has been ejected from Sunday's game.

Rodriguez was replaced at first base by Travis Ishikawa. If Rodriguez is suspended, Ishikawa could see an extra start or two. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Joey Votto has been ejected from Sunday's game.

Votto didn't even play in Sunday's game, but still got ejected for fighting. Votto could face a suspension, but if you own him you still have to play him, even in weekly leagues. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Manager Joe Maddon has been ejected Sunday for arguing a play at first.

Maddon has never been shy about defending his players when needed, so the occasional ejection is to be expected. He should be back in the dugout Monday when the Cubs take on the Pirates. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Chiefs waived RB LaVance Taylor.

The Chiefs signed RB Darrin Reaves Sunday, making Taylor expendable. Taylor, an undrafted rookie free agent, got his spot in training camp by tweeting the Chiefs a clip of his highlights from Central Missouri.  Analysis: Steve Pimental
