Texans No. 1 pick Jadeveon Clowney had sports hernia surgery Thursday but should be ready for training camp.
Kind of a bummer for Clowney as he'll miss the rest of OTAs and the upcoming mini-camp but being back in time for training camp in late July will give him more than enough time to get ready for the season.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
