Bengals QB A.J. McCarron has been cleared to throw after dealing with some arm tightness during the first two weeks of organized team activities.

There's still a question as to whether the arm tightness was that serious or if the shutdown was more precautionary than anything else. He's not expected to supplant Andy Dalton, at least not this year, so his recovery will be taken slowly and the rookie season will be all about learning the ways of the NFL.ANALYST: Howard Bender McCarron was the Bengals fifth-round pick in this year's NFL draft and could find himself as Andy Dalton's backup to start the season.
